SUPPORT AND FEEDBACK OPTIONS
Help System
RDA Toolkit has a built-in Help System that serves as an online manual. The Help System will be updated and modified as needed, based on user feedback and enhancements to the RDA Toolkit site. The Help System is accessed via the Help link in the lower right corner of the RDA Toolkit User Interface (shown below).
Following this Help link opens a new window with a Table of Contents in the left column and a help document window on the remainder of the screen.
Clicking any of the topics listed in the table of contents will open each topic in the document window on the right. Using the forward and back arrows at the top of the document window, users can navigate the Help Section forward and backward similar to flipping the pages of a book.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
The Co-Publishers for RDA maintain an FAQ section (accessible from the www.rdatoolkit.org home page) to answer the most frequently asked user questions. The FAQ section will be updated and modified as needed, based on user feedback and enhancements to the RDA Toolkit site.
Following the FAQ link on the home pages opens the FAQ page www.rdatoolkit.org/faq shown below. The page is designed with a list of frequently asked questions sorted into categories (shown below).
Clicking any question will take the user to the position lower on the page where the question is answered.
Questions submitted via the RDA Toolkit Support Center and emailed to rdatoolkit@ala.org will be added to the FAQ as appropriate.
Online Webinar Archive
The RDA Toolkit website has an online webinar video archive located on the Teaching and Training page, www.rdatoolkit.org/training. Past and future webinars will be recorded and posted to this archive. The archive is organized by webinar topic.

RDA Toolkit Blogs
RDA Toolkit maintains two blogs meant to inform users about the product and RDA, and to engage users in a conversation about how RDA Toolkit might be improved. The RDA Toolkit Blog (http://www.rdatoolkit.org/blog) regularly posts tips on getting more from the product, interviews with cataloging professionals and vendors, and news on RDA cataloging. The RDA Toolkit Development Blog (http://www.rdatoolkit.org/development) is focused on software development issues on the website.
Support Center
The RDA Toolkit Support Center is an online support ticket system that allows us to manage and track user questions to ensure quick and accurate responses.
The Support Center can be accessed directly at www.rdatoolkit.org/support or by following the Support or Feedback links from within the RDA Toolkit.
To open a new support ticket select the Open New Ticket button on the Support Center main page below.
Please fill in the basic contact information.
Users can help us efficiently answer tickets by selecting the most appropriate Help Topic from the drop down list. This list allows RDA Toolkit staff to route tickets to the most appropriate person. Give your ticket a subject and message just as you would an email. If your question is of a technical nature, please help us minimize follow-up questions by including your browser name and version in your message.
A confirmation email will be sent within a few minutes so you can be sure that we received your submission. The automatically generated email has a Ticket ID. Save this ID so you can track the status of your ticket.
The status of an open ticket may be tracked through the RDA Toolkit Support Center.
To track the status, enter your email address and the ticket ID from the ticket confirmation email you received shortly after submitting your ticket and click the Check Status link (shown below).
